Many other teams had tried and failed. Favre started out the game as a 7 0 affair in the first quarter when he his Thomas Jones with a 10 yard touchdown pass. Jets� kicker Jay Freely widened their lead to 10 0 win a 20 yard field goal in the second quarter. The Titans finally got on the board in the end of the first half with a 43 yard field goal by Rob Bironas. Feely added another three points in the third quarter with a 30 yarder. Favre found his second touchdown by throwing a two yard pass to Laveranues Coles to end the third quarter. Bironas added the Titans� second score early in the fourth quarter with a 49 yard field goal. With the score now at 20 6,personalized bobble heads, the Jets had the win firmly in their grasp.
